First Kicks Program (3-5)


About:
The DeMatha Soccer Academy First Kicks program emphasizes improvement of gross motor skills and development of fundamental soccer techniques while having FUN.

Soccer skills will be introduced through a variety of exercises and fun games in a group setting to encourage personal interaction and social development.

Each session will conclude with small-sided games to goal to allow children the opportunity to apply the skills learned in a game-like setting.

Classes are loosely structured with lots of positive reinforcement and activities that change quickly to hold the interest of 3-5 year old children. 

 

Eligibility:

Our First Kicks Program is divided into two age divisions.

  • Tots: Boys and Girls Age 3.

  • Juniors: Boys and Girls Ages 4-5.

 

Dates and Times:

  • Our Tots classes are 60 minutes long and the program runs 8 weeks. 

  • Our Juniors classes are 75 minutes long and the program runs 8 weeks.

Location: 

All classes will be outdoors at Elizabeth Seton High School, 5715 Emerson St, Bladensburg, MD 20710

 

Cost:

$135 includes T-shirt

COVID-19 Safety Measures

  • Temperatures will be taken of all athletes, staff and coaches before anyone can participate.

  • Equipment will be disinfected before, during and after activities.

  • No sharing of water or snacks.

  • Coaches will wear face masks and have been trained and educated in all safety practices recommended by the CDC.

  • Coaches will regularly communicate and monitor developments with local authorities, employees, and families regarding cases, exposures, and updates to policies and procedures.

  • We will train in small groups of ten including the coach.

  • Groups will remain together.  There is no mixing of groups or scrimmaging.

  • We will implement social distancing by increasing spacing between participants on and off the field.

  • We will implement staggered scheduling, arrival, and drop offs. 

  • We will limit the number of spectators at the venue by asking that parent/guardian remain in the car.

  • No high fives, handshakes or intentional physical contact

  • Staff, parents and participants will be required to stay home if they or anyone they have come in contact with is sick.

 

Important Club Policies:

Register with Confidence Policy:
You can secure your spot for this programming by registering now with a $50 deposit. Your remaining balance will be due one week before the start of the program. If the program is canceled due to COVID-19 you can choose to receive a cash refund minus a 5% online processing fee. Or a full credit to any future camp.

 

Refund Policy:
Requests for refunds will be treated as follows:

  • If you are needing to cancel a registration, for any reason, up until 15 calendar days prior to the start date of the event you will be given a full credit to any future DeMatha Soccer Academy programming.

  • If cancelled 14 days or less prior to the start of the event, you will be given a 50% credit to any future DeMatha Soccer Academy programming.

  • No credits/refunds will be issued after the start of a camp.

  • Medical issues/death in family will be fully refunded with the exception of a $50 admin fee at anytime with a doctors note faxed or emailed to us.

 

Cancellation Policy:
In the event of severe road and/or weather conditions or an unforeseen closure/availability conflict of the facility, then we will cancel a session. Should there be a cancellation DMSA will not make up cancellations regardless of the number of cancelled days.
